Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 the generational renewal of the Mi Mix range of Xiaomi is already among us and there are many new features that accompany a phone that is still ahead of its time. A model that since its inception has managed to captivate based on good design and with this renewed version continues to do so.
Today, we focus on analyzing and showing you the novelties of this third edition of one of the great exponents of the high range in Xiaomi, the Mi MIX 3. A device that comes stomping and that will surely conquer your heart more technological.
THE XIAOMI MI MIX 3 ADVANCES A FUTURE WHERE SLIDING SCREENS REIGN
There is no doubt that with each generation of Mi Mix, we have known a bit of the future of telephony. Each version has been advanced to its time and this has been witnessed in our article year after year. On this occasion, we welcome the third generation of this model, a device that predicts a future full of sliding screens.
A DESIGN THAT TALKS A LOT ABOUT THE MARKET TREND IN 2019
When we see and analyze the design and manufacture of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3, we are not only seeing one more smartphone, we are seeing a bit of 2019.
After the arrival of Apple with his iPhone X, the need was established to take an intermediate step between the full-screen fronts and the unsightly frames that prevailed a few years ago. That element is the notch or eyebrow. Its appearance was clearly temporary and its size has been declining throughout the year, except in very specific brands such as Apple.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 advances the next step in terms of design, the front Full View, with a 93.4% screen ratio.
The formula chosen by Xiaomi is based on a panel with magnetic slip. A more economical solution than the one applied by Oppo in its Find X, manual, and which has an approximate life of 300,000 uses.
It can be configured for other functions, such as picking up and hanging calls.
The sliding panel system has its benefits and its negative side. In it are hidden elements such as the front dual cameras, which eliminates the possibility of using the facial release. This is supplemented by a new fingerprint reader on the screen, which as has been proven in the OnePlus 6T, and in other devices that have already made the leap to this component, is noticeably slower than the traditional one. Technology sometimes puts novelty before the operation, and this is a clear example.
AN AMOLED SCREEN THAT SAYS GOODBYE TO THE FRONT CAMERA
Unlike previous models, Xiaomi has put an end to the unsightly front-facing camera on the screen. Now, this is hidden and that allows to incorporate a full panel AMOLED 6.4 inches, which without reaching the levels of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 or the Huawei Mate 20 PRO, provides a very acceptable quality.
The colors are vivid, the balance is right and we can vary some parameters thanks to MIUI 10.
ALL THE POWER NEEDED BY A HIGH-END SOLVENT IS IN THE MI MIX 3
To the taste of the somewhat exaggerated editor, the Xiaomi MI MIX 3 has presented a technical set of impressive specifications, being the first of its kind in several aspects. First of all, we still have a Snapdragon 845 processor, similar to its predecessor in the “S” variant, only that here for the first time in the smartphone world, we have up to 10GB of RAM. All a technological feat, which is quite exaggerated and little necessary in the current reality, but which sells and makes this a special smartphone.
Another great news of this device is in its ability to connect to 5G networks. Something that has been the first and therefore will remain in history as a historical telephone. A few days later, the OnePlus 6T has also presented this novelty.
A TIGHT BATTERY BUT WITH A FAST CHARGE THAT IMPROVES ITS PERFORMANCE
The battery of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 will not pass the story because of its large storage power. A few 3,200 mAh that despite guaranteeing a good autonomy, are far from the average of 3,700 mAh we are seeing in their direct competition. The sliding screen penalizes the hole destined for the battery and it is supplemented with a QuickCharge quick charging system that comes with Qualcomm. This will allow a quick recovery, which we have already seen in other models such as the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, whose performance is significantly better than its competitors.
A positive detail is that Xiaomi includes a charger with this 10W technology and we do not forget the wireless charging.
CAMERAS THAT CONTINUE TO IMPROVE, NOW USING SOFTWARE
The evolution of lenses in recent years is still impressive. We attend to constant innovations and the results of day and night have improved a chasm. In the Mi MIX 3, it has been wanted to follow in the wake of the great terminals and for it has presented the same lenses that already accompanied his brother of range and brand, the Mi 8.
The main novelty is in a new application that will be responsible, through the active processing of the Snapdragon 845, to improve the results and get ample performance to this pair of lenses.
Another novelty of this device is found in its ability to take a new leap in slow motion recording. A new super slow motion mode will record at 960 fps with 1080p resolution. The result will be less result than in the Galaxy range, but nobody is disgusted with innovations like this.
The new application will come in future updates to MI 8 and Mi MIX 2S to improve their results, even more, getting the most out of their cameras. Above all, the new mode of prolonged capture for photographs during the night is appreciated.
ANALYSIS CLOSE: THE PRICE IN XIAOMI IS STILL AN ADVANTAGE
The Mi MIX 3 has not yet been announced in an international version, and as in other models of the brand, we will have to wait for this release to know the price of its Indian version. The price in India will range between Rs. 34000 and most of the 10 GB RAM model.
And you, what do you think about this new Mi MIX 3?
